Contributing to Local Communities through Nearshore System Development

The expansion of our nearshore system contributes to SCSK's growth and regional development, promoting employment and nurturing IT talent. Flexible work styles, such as remote work, support the activities of local IT professionals. In collaboration with local governments, educational institutions, and partner companies, we promote the employment and training of IT talent as well as work style reforms. Through these efforts to create a "local IT industry that attracts people," we aim to build a vibrant local IT sector and contribute to the sustainable development of regional communities.

SCSK Nearshore Systems(“SCSK-NS”), a subsidiary tasked with SCSK's nearshore system development, has 12 bases across 11 prefectures in Japan. The number of staff has exceeded 1,000 by the end of fiscal year 2023, and we are aiming for a 2,000-person structure by the end of fiscal year 2030. We are advancing the active participation of women and seniors, recruiting U-turn IT engineers, and with the cooperation of local companies, we are striving to promote and expand the SCSK-NS model, which ensures "long-term and stable continuation of projects from major corporations in metropolitan areas at local bases."
