Case Study

Mold release analysis / Fatigue analysis

The product demolding process is solved as a structural analysis. It is a large-scale analysis, with many of the structural parts modeled and the temperature distribution in the casting process used as the boundary condition. The analysis process involves lowering the temperature of the raw material inside the mold and making it cling to the mold. After that, the fixed mold is removed, the slide is pulled out, and finally the shape of the raw material is pushed out with a push pin. This can be used to evaluate product shrinkage force and cling force, consider the placement of push pins, and demolding resistance. ADVENTURECluster can analyze the product demolding process as a series of flows.

Analysis overview

Target Die cast mold
Items Elastic-plastic, static analysis, heat transfer analysis, Collabo
Coupled software MAGMASOFT

Background/Issues

The scale of the mold assembly model is large, so it takes a long time to calculate.

Analytical Needs

By reproducing the casting molding process, including the release of rough material, through structural analysis, we hope to study the product's cling and release resistance, as well as the load on the push pins.

Advantages

Using the ADVENTURECluster standard mapping tool collabo, it is possible to easily map the thermal and pressure data of casting analysis software.
Mold assembly models can be calculated at high speed.
